Josie Schellpfeffer

Meet Josie

I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin figure skating and doing synchro with the Madison Ice Diamonds and Wisconsin Inspire at the beginner through junior levels. After graduating high school, I moved to Boston to go to school and skate on the Lexettes junior team and represent Team USA for two years. I then transferred to the University of Minnesota where I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in mathematics and skating for the Northernettes Collegiate Team and I have earned two national medals with them.

I started coaching Learn to Skate as an assistant as soon as my club allowed it and continued that throughout high school and into college. I later began coaching some private lessons and helping out with the Madison Ice Diamonds aspire teams and Wisconsin Inspire juvenile and intermediate teams when home on breaks from college. In the 2025-26 season I started working as an assistant coach for the Northernettes Open Juvenile team and am excited to continue coaching with the Northernettes!

I love being able to share my passion for skating with others and build connections with my students. Outside of skating I also love to be creative through knitting and crocheting and to spend time with my friends and family!
